10

So...
I have decided to start making 10. Ten seeds, ten mugs, ten handles, a day. I have spoken to several other ceramic artists and this is often what was required in graduate school. I've heard the horror stories of 40 mugs each day or Beth Cavener's having to create a full ceramic figure each week and then destroying it before firing.

Above is one of the mugs from today. It's not finished, as clay takes time.

​Much of my functional work (mug inset) is very standard and very usable. Neither of those are bad. The main attraction is the surface design. I think that I could create more  interest in the work by pushing the sculptural aspect.
